Medicare is a type of health care insurance developed by the government for older persons, as well as people with specific disabilities and illnesses. If a person who has Medicare needs rehab for instances of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered completely by their Medicare insurance or to a great extent. The only catch is, the person must acquire treatment from a drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to commence rehabilitation, they can also get to visit their medical doctor who must state that treatment services are medically essential, and the doctor will generally approve what type of rehab the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehabilitation providers. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual must be hospitalized for problem, and also the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as every other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient rehabilitation inside a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance or they will have to self pay.
