Medicare is a kind of health insurance designed by the federal government for senior citizens, and also those that have certain disabilities and sicknesses. When someone that has Medicare needs rehabilitation for cases of substance abuse, their treatment will be either covered fully by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant degree. The only exception is, the individual will need to obtain treatment from an alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to begin treatment, they may also have to visit their primary care physician who must state that rehabilitation services are medically needed, and the physician will usually approve what type of rehab the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of treatment services. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program when the individual has to be hospitalized for their issue, and the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient treatment in a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
