TRICARE is health insurance which is offered to members of the armed forces of the United States. Drug and alcohol use within the military is more common than one would imagine, and the necessity to provide rehab to these individuals is a crucial priority. TRICARE covers a variety of rehab services to handle alcohol and drug dependence including detox services, and also treatment in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient facilities. People who have TRICARE will of course be asked to get a prior approval before taking part in any sort of rehab service, that may be organized with their regional TRICARE representative. If an inpatient program will be the favored rehab choice, TRICARE covers twenty-one days or one inpatient stay in this program per benefit period which is every 365 days. There are certain limits regarding how much time a TRICARE member can remain in an inpatient program that accepts TRICARE, and there's typically a 30 to 45 day window that is covered. TRICARE also covers family treatment which is often very helpful, as it could help include loved ones in the healing and process of recovery.
