Medicare is a sort of medical health insurance designed by the government for older persons, in addition to people who have specific disabilities and sicknesses. If someone that has Medicare needs treatment for cases of substance abuse, their rehab will either be covered entirely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant degree. The one catch is, the individual must receive treatment from the drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to start rehab, they may also have to see their primary care physician who must declare that rehabilitation services are medically necessary, and the physician will usually approve what sort of rehab the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of rehabilitation providers. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual should be hospitalized because of their problem, as well as the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Part B will partially cover outpatient rehab in the Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance or they're going to have to self pay.
