TRICARE is health care insurance that's provided to individuals in the armed forces of the United States. Drug abuse within the military is a lot more common than one would assume, and the need to offer treatment to these individuals is an important priority. TRICARE covers many different rehab services to deal with drug and alcohol dependence including detox services, in addition to treatment in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient settings. People with TRICARE will naturally have to have a prior approval before taking part in any sort of rehab service, that may be arranged with their regional TRICARE representative. If an inpatient program could be the preferred rehab option, TRICARE will cover a three week period or one inpatient stay in that program per benefit period which is every 365 days. There are certain limits about how long a TRICARE member can stay within an inpatient facility that accepts TRICARE, and there is typically a 30-45 day window that's covered. TRICARE also covers family counselling that may be very useful, as it may help include loved ones in the healing and process of recovery. No member of the military should fight this battle alone, and there are professional rehab counselors waiting to help you today.
