Medicaid is a form of health care insurance available for many people who are in certain income brackets which qualifies them to obtain this government provided insurance coverage. Whether someone is qualified for Medicaid doesn't only depend on their earnings however, and people shouldn't presume they don't qualify because they earn an acceptable income. As an example, men and women who have a lot of dependents may be entitled to Medicaid regardless of whether they make what might be described as a sensible income. Medicaid could also cover the price of rehab, if someone has been abusing drugs or alcohol and needs rehabilitation. There are several alcohol and drug rehabilitation centers which accept Medicaid, but various states have different guidelines for what types of rehabilitation are covered. Certain states only include outpatient treatment services by way of example while other states cover more extensive rehabilitation such as a residential stay in long-term drug and alcohol rehab program. If a person is involved in drug abuse and wants help, they are able to use their Medicaid insurance coverage to get this help. If they don't have Medicaid and in addition don't have the money or another kind of medical insurance to pay for rehabilitation, they could see if they qualify for Medicaid and then sign up for a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center that is approved within their state.
