TRICARE is health insurance that's provided to people in the armed forces of the United States. Substance abuse inside the military is much more common than one would think, and the necessity to offer rehab to these individuals is an important priority. TRICARE covers many different rehabilitation services to cope with drug and alcohol dependence like detox services, and also treatment in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient settings. People who have TRICARE will of course be required to obtain a prior authorization before partaking in any type of rehabilitation service, which may be organized using their regional TRICARE representative. If an inpatient center will be the favored treatment choice, TRICARE covers a 3 week period or one inpatient stay in this facility per benefit period which is every 12 months. There are particular limits regarding how much time a TRICARE member can remain in an inpatient facility that accepts TRICARE, and there's typically a 30-45 day window which is covered. TRICARE also covers family therapy which may be very useful, as it could help include loved ones in the healing and process of recovery. No member of the military should fight this battle alone, and there are skilled rehab counselors ready to help today.
