Dual diagnosis rehabs are programs which provide rehabilitation to handle both mental health and addiction concerns concurrently. Rehab counselors will continue to work to recognize environmental factors in the client's life such as negative people in their lives or other things which need to be addressed in order for the person to stay mentally healthy and sober t when they depart dual diagnosis rehab. Dual diagnosis clients also benefit from behavioral rehab that helps them develop far better coping mechanisms so they are able to better handle life circumstances more proficiently if they leave dual diagnosis rehab rather than turning to alcohol and drugs as an inferior option.
