Medicare is a type of medical insurance created by the U.S. government for older persons, as well as individuals with certain disabilities and illnesses. When someone that has Medicare needs rehabilitation for instances of substance abuse, their treatment will be either covered completely by their Medicare insurance or to a significant extent. The only catch is, the person will need to obtain treatment coming from a drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to start treatment, they will also have to see their medical doctor who must state that treatment services are medically needed, and the physician will generally approve what type of rehabilitation the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover various kinds of treatment providers. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility when the individual has to be in a hospital for their issue, and also the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are the same as any other hospital stay. Part B will partially cover outpatient rehabilitation in the Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance or they will have to self pay.
