Medicare is a form of medical health insurance created by the federal government for senior citizens, along with individuals with certain disabilities and illnesses. If a person who has Medicare needs rehabilitation for instances of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered entirely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The one exception is, the person will need to receive treatment from your alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to start rehab, they will also have to visit their primary care physician who must state that treatment services are medically essential, and the physician will usually approve which kind of rehab the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehab services. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program when the individual should be in a hospital for problem, as well as the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are identical to any other stay in a hospital. Part B will partially cover outpatient rehab in a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance coverage or they've got to self pay.
