TRICARE is health care insurance which is offered to people in the military of the United States. Drug abuse within the military is much more common than one would think, and the necessity to provide rehabilitation to these individuals is a vital priority. TRICARE covers a variety of rehabilitation services to handle alcohol and drug dependence including detoxification services, in addition to rehabilitation in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient facilities. Those that have TRICARE will naturally have to have a prior authorization before taking part in any sort of rehabilitation service, which is often organized using their regional TRICARE liaison. If an inpatient facility could be the favored rehab choice, TRICARE will cover twenty-one days or one inpatient stay in this particular program per benefit period which is every 12 months. There are certain limits regarding just how long a TRICARE member can remain within an inpatient program that accepts TRICARE, and there's typically a 30-45 day window which is covered. TRICARE also covers family therapy which can be very helpful, as it could help include family members in the healing and process of recovery.
