A group home for a person who has tbeen involved with drug and alcohol abuse is a place which offers continuous support and help for people in recovery. A group home is ordinarily for troubled adolescents, but there are also group homes for individuals with a mental health disorder or who are experiencing behavioral difficulties for example. As an alternative to sending those who are being affected by drug abusedrug use or recovering from substance abuse to an orphanage, asylum and other similar place, a group home may help provide an acceptable environment to help individuals sustain stability in their lives and have counsel and support at their fingertips 24/7. Residents inside a group home could be involved in rehabilitation services while in residence, or may be taking actions to get their life set up outside of the group home to enable them to at some time live on their own outside the group home.
