Medicare is a type of medical health insurance developed by the government for senior citizens, and also people who have specific disabilities and diseases. If an individual that has Medicare needs rehabilitation for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered entirely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant degree. The one exception is, the individual will need to acquire treatment coming from an alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to start rehabilitation, they can also get to see their doctor who must state that treatment services are medically essential, and the doctor will typically approve which kind of treatment the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehab providers. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program when the individual needs to be hospitalized for his or her problem, along with the costs that they will have to cover personally are identical to every other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient treatment inside a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance coverage or they will have to self pay.
