TRICARE is health insurance which is provided to individuals in the military of the United States. Drug abuse within the military is a lot more common than one would imagine, and the necessity to provide treatment to these individuals is an important priority. TRICARE covers many different treatment services to handle alcohol and drug dependence including detoxification services, and also rehabilitation in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient settings. Those that have TRICARE will naturally be asked to get a prior authorization before taking part in any kind of rehab service, that may be arranged using a regional TRICARE liaison. If an inpatient facility is the favored rehabilitation option, TRICARE will cover twenty-one days or one inpatient stay in that program per benefit period which is every 365 days. There are certain limits as to how long a TRICARE member can remain in an inpatient center that accepts TRICARE, then there is typically a 30-45 day window that is covered. TRICARE also covers family therapy which is often very helpful, as it can help include loved ones in the healing and recovery process. No person in the military should fight this battle alone, and there are skilled treatment counselors ready to assist you today.
