Medicare is a form of health insurance developed by the government for older persons, as well as individuals with certain disabilities and sicknesses. If an individual that has Medicare needs treatment for cases of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered completely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The one catch is, the person will need to receive treatment from a drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to start rehabilitation, they may also have to visit their doctor who must state that treatment services are medically necessary, and the physician will typically approve what type of rehab the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehabilitation providers. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center if the individual should be in a hospital for issue, and also the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to any other hospital stay. Part B will partly cover outpatient treatment inside a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
