Medicare is a kind of health insurance developed by the U.S. government for seniors, and also those that have certain disabilities and sicknesses. If someone that has Medicare needs rehabilitation for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will either be covered fully by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The only exception is, the person will have to receive treatment from the drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to commence treatment, they may also have to see their doctor who must declare that rehab services are medically necessary, and the physician will typically approve what sort of rehabilitation the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of treatment providers. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program in the event that the individual must be in a hospital for his or her problem, and the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation within a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
