Self pay is often times the only option for many who need treatment inside an alcohol and drug treatment facility for drug abuse but have zero medical insurance. It isn't uncommon for an individual dependent on alcohol or drugs to not have private medical insurance, as it can be difficult to keep an alcohol or drug habit going while still maintaining work.
