Medicare is a form of medical health insurance created by the government for senior citizens, in addition to those that have certain disabilities and sicknesses. When someone that has Medicare needs treatment for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will be either covered entirely by their Medicare health insurance or to a great extent. The one exception is, the individual will need to receive treatment from an alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to start rehab, they may also have to visit their physician who must declare that rehab services are medically needed, and the physician will generally approve which kind of rehabilitation the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehabilitation providers. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program in the event that the individual needs to be in a hospital for his or her issue, along with the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are the same as any other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient treatment inside a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance or they'll have to self pay.
