Medicare is a form of medical insurance developed by the U.S. government for older folks, along with those that have specific disabilities and sicknesses. If an individual that has Medicare needs rehab for cases of substance abuse, their rehab will either be covered completely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant degree. The only exception is, the person will have to receive treatment coming from a drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to begin treatment, they will also have to visit their physician who must declare that treatment services are medically necessary, and the doctor will typically approve what type of treatment the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehab providers. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program if the individual needs to be in a hospital for his or her problem, and also the costs that they will have to cover personally are identical to every other hospital stay. Part B will partially cover outpatient treatment in the Medicare accepted center, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance coverage or they're going to have to self pay.
