A group home for anyone who has tbeen involved with drug and alcohol abuse is a facility which provides continual support and assistance for people in recovery. A group home is usually for troubled adolescents, but there are also group homes for people with a mental health problem or who are encountering behavioral trouble for example. As an alternative to sending people who are struggling with substance abuse or recovering from drug abuse to an orphanage, asylum and other similar facility, a group home may help provide an appropriate environment to help individuals maintain stability within their lives and also have counsel and support within reach around the clock.
