Medicare is a type of medical insurance developed by the government for older folks, along with people with certain disabilities and illnesses. When someone that has Medicare needs treatment for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will be either covered completely by their Medicare insurance or to a significant extent. The only catch is, the person must receive treatment from the alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to commence rehab, they can also get to see their primary care physician who must declare that treatment services are medically necessary, and the doctor will usually approve which kind of rehabilitation the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of treatment providers. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility when the individual needs to be in a hospital for their problem, as well as the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to any other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient rehabilitation in a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance coverage or they've got to self pay.
