A group home for someone who has tbeen involved with drug abuse is a facility which offers continual support and help for individuals in recovery. A group home is ordinarily for troubled adolescents, but there are also group homes for those with a mental health problem or who are encountering behavioral difficulties for example. Rather than sending people who are struggling with substance abuse or recovering from substance abuse to an orphanage, asylum and other similar place, a group home might help provide an acceptable environment to help sustain stability within their lives and have counsel and assistance within reach around the clock. People who reside inside a group home may be getting involved in rehabilitation services whilst in residence, or could be taking actions to get their life set up outside of the group home so that they can at some time live independently outside the group home. By way of example, a troubled youth that has been in recovery or has recovered from substance abuse can work on getting their GED or obtain work.
