Medicare is a form of medical insurance designed by the U.S. government for seniors, along with people who have certain disabilities and sicknesses. When someone who has Medicare needs rehabilitation for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will be either covered fully by their Medicare insurance or to a significant extent. The one exception is, the person will have to acquire treatment from the alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to start treatment, they can also get to see their primary care physician who must state that rehabilitation services are medically needed, and the doctor will typically approve which kind of rehab the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover various kinds of rehabilitation providers. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program if the individual should be in a hospital for their issue, and also the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are the same as any other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient treatment within a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance coverage or they will have to self pay.
