TRICARE is medical insurance that's provided to members of the military of the United States. TRICARE covers many different rehab services to address drug and alcohol dependence including detoxification services, and also rehab in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient facilities. People who have TRICARE will naturally need to have a prior authorization before partaking in any kind of rehabilitation service, which may be organized with their regional TRICARE representative. If an inpatient facility will be the preferred rehab option, TRICARE covers a 3 week period or one inpatient stay in that center per benefit period which is every 365 days. There are specific limits as to how much time a TRICARE member can remain within an inpatient program that accepts TRICARE, and there is typically a 30-45 day window which is covered. TRICARE also covers family therapy which can be very helpful, as it may help include loved ones in the healing and recovery process. No member of the military should fight this battle alone, and there are skilled rehabilitation counselors standing by to help you today.
