Dual diagnosis rehabs are centers which provide rehabilitation to address both mental health and addiction issues at the same time. Treatment counselors will work to spot environmental issues in the client's life including negative people in their lives or other things which should be addressed in order for the individual to stay mentally stable and sober t after they leave dual diagnosis rehab. Dual diagnosis clients also benefit from behavioral rehab that helps them develop more effective coping mechanisms so they are able to better deal with life situations well when they leave dual diagnosis rehab rather than turning to drugs as a possible option.
