TRICARE is health care insurance that is provided to individuals in the military of the United States. TRICARE covers a variety of rehab services to handle drug and alcohol dependence such as detoxification services, in addition to rehabilitation in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient facilities. Individuals with TRICARE will of course be asked to obtain a prior approval before partaking in any sort of rehabilitation service, which is often arranged with their regional TRICARE liaison. If an inpatient center is the favored treatment option, TRICARE will cover a 3 week period or one inpatient stay in such a program per benefit period which is every 12 months. There are certain limits about how much time a TRICARE member can remain within an inpatient facility that accepts TRICARE, and there is typically a 30-45 day window which is covered. TRICARE also covers family treatment which is often very beneficial, as it can certainly help include family members in the healing and recovery process. No person in the military should fight this battle alone, and there are professional rehab counselors standing by to help today.
