Medicare is a sort of medical health insurance designed by the U.S. government for older folks, as well as people with certain disabilities and illnesses. If an individual who has Medicare needs rehabilitation for cases of substance abuse, their treatment will either be covered entirely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The only real exception is, the person will have to obtain treatment from an alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to begin rehabilitation, they may also have to see their doctor who must declare that rehabilitation services are medically necessary, and the physician will typically approve what type of treatment the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of rehab solutions. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual must be hospitalized for their problem, as well as the costs that they will have to cover personally are identical to every other hospital stay. Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab in a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
