Individuals who want to maintain a lot of flexibility in their lives can take advantage of an outpatient rehab if they need treatment for drug or alcohol abuse. Outpatient rehab makes it possible for the rehab client to participate in rehab services without the commitment one would normally have to agree to in an inpatient or residential drug and alcohol rehab center. For someone with more significant addiction and dependency problems, inpatient or residential alcohol and drug treatment facilities which provide rehabilitation on a long-term basis are going to be the more beneficial rehabilitation choice.
