TRICARE is health care insurance that's offered to people in the military of the United States. Substance abuse within the military is much more common than one would assume, and the need to provide rehabilitation to these individuals is a crucial priority. TRICARE covers many different rehab services to handle alcohol and drug dependence like detoxification services, and also rehab in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient facilities. Individuals with TRICARE will naturally be required to obtain a prior approval before partaking in any kind of rehab service, that may be organized using their regional TRICARE representative. If an inpatient center will be the preferred rehab choice, TRICARE covers 21 days or one inpatient stay in that program per benefit period which is every 12 months. There are certain limits as to how long a TRICARE member can stay in an inpatient program that accepts TRICARE, and there is typically a 30 to 45 day window that is covered. TRICARE also covers family therapy which is often very helpful, as it may help include loved ones in the healing and process of recovery. No member of the military should fight this battle alone, and there are expert treatment counselors ready to assist you today.
