Medicaid is a form of health insurance available for those who are in specific income brackets which qualifies them to receive this government provided insurance. Whether or not somebody is qualified for Medicaid doesn't only depend on income however, and people shouldn't presume they don't qualify just because they make a good income. For example, men and women who have quite a few dependents may qualify for Medicaid even if they earn what can be considered a fair income. Medicaid may also cover the costs of rehab, when someone has been abusing drugs or alcohol and needs treatment. There are many drug and alcohol treatment centers which accept Medicaid, but different states have different rules for what types of rehab are covered. Some states only include outpatient treatment services for instance while other states cover more intensive rehab such as a residential stay in long-term drug rehab facility. If anyone is involved in drug abuse and desires help, they are able to use their Medicaid health coverage to obtain this treatment. If they do not have Medicaid and in addition don't have the cash or another kind of medical health insurance to pay for rehab, they could determine if they are eligible for a Medicaid and then sign up for a drug and alcohol rehab center which is approved within their state.
