Medicare is a type of health insurance designed by the U.S. government for older persons, as well as people with certain disabilities and diseases. If someone that has Medicare needs treatment for cases of substance abuse, their rehab will be either covered completely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The only exception is, the individual must acquire treatment from an alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to commence rehab, they may also have to visit their medical doctor who must declare that rehabilitation services are medically essential, and the doctor will usually approve what type of rehab the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of treatment solutions. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual must be in a hospital for problem, as well as the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as every other hospital stay. Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab inside a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance or they will have to self pay.
