Medicare is a form of medical insurance designed by the U.S. government for senior citizens, in addition to those that have specific disabilities and diseases. If someone that has Medicare needs rehabilitation for cases of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered entirely by their Medicare insurance or to a significant degree. The only real exception is, the person will have to acquire treatment from your drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to start rehab, they may also have to visit their physician who must state that rehab services are medically essential, and the physician will generally approve what type of rehab the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehab services. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility in the event that the individual has to be hospitalized because of their problem, and the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are the same as any other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient treatment inside a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance or they will have to self pay.
