Offering gender-specific rehabilitation services has shown to be beneficial in circumstances where conventional treatment facilities have not meet expectations, including coping with situations within a women's life which can be distinctive and traumatic. Research has shown that women may also get involved in drug use more easily than men, and therefore are more predisposed to sickness due to dependency problems than males as a result.
