Medicare is a form of health care insurance designed by the U.S. government for older persons, along with people with certain disabilities and diseases. If someone who has Medicare needs rehab for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will be either covered entirely by their Medicare insurance or to a great extent. The one exception is, the individual must receive treatment from a drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to commence treatment, they can also get to visit their physician who must declare that rehab services are medically needed, and the physician will generally approve which kind of rehab the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of rehabilitation services. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program when the individual needs to be in a hospital for their problem, along with the costs that they will have to cover personally are identical to any other hospital stay. Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation within a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance or they're going to have to self pay.
