A group home for anyone who has tbeen involved with drug abuse is a place which offers continual support and assistance for individuals in recovery. A group home is ordinarily for troubled youth, but there's also group homes for folks with a mental health disorder or who are encountering behavioral difficulties for example. As an alternative to sending people who are struggling with drug abusedrug use or recovering from substance abuse to an orphanage, asylum or another similar place, a group home may help offer an appropriate environment to help individuals maintain stability within their lives and still have counsel and assistance within reach around the clock. People who reside within a group home may be getting involved in treatment services while in residence, or may be taking actions to get their life setup outside the group home to be able to at some time live independently outside of the group home. For example, a troubled youth who may have been in recovery or has recovered from drug abusedrug use can work on getting their GED or acquire employment. A group home is not really a long-term or permanent option, but it's a practical temporary option for individuals who want to get their lives back together again.
