Medicare is a type of medical health insurance developed by the U.S. government for senior citizens, and also those that have specific disabilities and sicknesses. If someone who has Medicare needs rehab for instances of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered fully by their Medicare health insurance or to a great degree. The only exception is, the individual will need to acquire treatment from a drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to begin rehab, they will also have to visit their physician who must state that treatment services are medically needed, and the physician will generally approve what type of rehab the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover various kinds of treatment services. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual must be hospitalized for their issue, along with the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab in a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance or they'll have to self pay.
