Medicare is a type of medical insurance developed by the federal government for senior citizens, in addition to people who have certain disabilities and sicknesses. If an individual who has Medicare needs treatment for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will be either covered fully by their Medicare insurance or to a great degree. The only exception is, the individual will have to receive treatment coming from an alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare.
