Medicare is a form of medical health insurance developed by the government for senior citizens, as well as those that have specific disabilities and illnesses. If a person who has Medicare needs rehabilitation for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will be either covered in full by their Medicare insurance or to a significant extent. The only exception is, the person must receive treatment from the alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to commence rehab, they may also have to visit their doctor who must declare that treatment services are medically needed, and the physician will typically approve which kind of treatment the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehab services. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program in the event that the individual must be in a hospital for his or her issue, and the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to every other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation in a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance or they will have to self pay.
