Medicare is a type of medical health insurance developed by the government for senior citizens, and also people with specific disabilities and diseases. If an individual who has Medicare needs rehabilitation for cases of substance abuse, their rehab will either be covered in full by their Medicare insurance or to a great extent. The one exception is, the person will have to receive treatment coming from an alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to commence rehab, they can also get to see their primary care physician who must declare that treatment services are medically essential, and the physician will generally approve what type of rehab the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of treatment providers. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility when the individual needs to be in a hospital because of their issue, and the costs that they will have to pay for personally are the same as any other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient rehabilitation inside a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance or they'll have to self pay.
