Medicare is a form of medical health insurance created by the U.S. government for seniors, as well as those that have specific disabilities and diseases. When someone who has Medicare needs treatment for cases of substance abuse, their rehab will either be covered entirely by their Medicare insurance or to a great degree. The only real catch is, the person must receive treatment from your drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to commence rehab, they will also have to visit their primary care physician who must state that rehab services are medically needed, and the physician will typically approve what sort of treatment the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of treatment services. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility when the individual needs to be hospitalized for their problem, and the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to every other hospital stay. Part B will partly cover outpatient treatment in the Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance or they'll have to self pay.
