Medicare is a type of health care insurance designed by the U.S. government for older persons, along with individuals with certain disabilities and illnesses. If a person that has Medicare needs rehab for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will be either covered in full by their Medicare health insurance or to a great extent. The one exception is, the individual must receive treatment coming from a drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to begin treatment, they may also have to see their medical doctor who must declare that rehabilitation services are medically essential, and the physician will typically approve what sort of rehab the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehab providers. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility in the event that the individual has to be in a hospital for his or her problem, as well as the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are identical to every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient treatment within a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
