A group home for someone who has tbeen involved with alcohol and drug abuse is a place which provides continual support and help for people in recovery. A group home is ordinarily for troubled youth, but there's also group homes for individuals with a mental health problem or who are encountering behavioral problems for example. As opposed to sending those who are being affected by drug abusedrug use or recovering from drug abuse to an orphanage, asylum and other similar place, a group home may help provide an acceptable environment to help maintain stability in their lives and also have counsel and assistance at their fingertips around the clock. Residents in a group home may be taking part in treatment services during residence, or could be taking steps to get their life setup outside of the group home to enable them to at some time live on their own outside of the group home.
