Medicaid is a form of health care insurance available for many people who are in certain income brackets which qualifies them to receive this government funded insurance coverage. Whether somebody qualifies for Medicaid doesn't only depend upon income however, and people shouldn't presume they don't qualify simply because they earn a fair income. As an example, people who have a lot of dependents may qualify for Medicaid regardless of whether they earn what might be considered a fair income. Certain states only cover outpatient treatment services as an example while other states cover more extensive rehab say for example a residential stay in long-term alcohol and drug treatment center. If a person is involved in substance abuse and desires help, they are able to use their Medicaid health coverage to obtain this help. If they do not have Medicaid plus don't have enough cash or any other type of health care insurance to pay for treatment, they could find out if they qualify for Medicaid and then sign up for a drug rehabilitation center that is approved within their state.
