Medicare is a form of medical health insurance designed by the government for seniors, in addition to those that have certain disabilities and diseases. If a person that has Medicare needs treatment for cases of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered completely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The only catch is, the individual will need to receive treatment from the drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to commence treatment, they will also have to see their primary care physician who must declare that treatment services are medically essential, and the doctor will usually approve what type of rehab the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover various kinds of rehab services. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center when the individual must be in a hospital for issue, along with the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to every other stay in a hospital. Part B will partially cover outpatient treatment in the Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance or they'll have to self pay.
