TRICARE is medical health insurance that is offered to people in the military of the United States. Drug and alcohol use inside the military is a lot more common than one would assume, and the need to offer rehabilitation to these individuals is a priority. TRICARE covers many different treatment services to address drug and alcohol dependence such as detox services, and also rehabilitation in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient settings. Those that have TRICARE will obviously be asked to get a prior approval before partaking in any sort of rehabilitation service, which is often arranged using their regional TRICARE representative. If an inpatient center will be the favored rehabilitation option, TRICARE will cover a three week period or one inpatient stay in that facility per benefit period which is every 365 days. There are specific limits regarding just how long a TRICARE member can remain in an inpatient program that accepts TRICARE, then there is typically a 30 to 45 day window that is covered. TRICARE also covers family counselling which is often very beneficial, as it can certainly help include loved ones in the healing and recovery process. No member of the military should fight this battle alone, and there are professional treatment counselors ready to assist you today.
