Medicare is a form of health insurance designed by the government for older folks, along with people with certain disabilities and sicknesses. If an individual that has Medicare needs treatment for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will be either covered fully by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The only real exception is, the individual will need to receive treatment coming from an alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to commence rehabilitation, they may also have to see their physician who must state that rehabilitation services are medically necessary, and the doctor will typically approve what type of treatment the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of treatment services. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program if the individual needs to be in a hospital for their problem, along with the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are the same as every other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab inside a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance coverage or they've got to self pay.
