Medicare is a form of health care insurance designed by the government for senior citizens, in addition to those that have certain disabilities and illnesses. When someone who has Medicare needs rehabilitation for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered completely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The one exception is, the individual must receive treatment from your drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to start rehab, they will also have to visit their physician who must declare that rehab services are medically necessary, and the doctor will generally approve what sort of rehab the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehabilitation services. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center in the event that the individual should be in a hospital because of their issue, and the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Part B will partially cover outpatient treatment in a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance coverage or they've got to self pay.
