Medicare is a form of medical insurance developed by the federal government for senior citizens, and also individuals with certain disabilities and illnesses. If an individual who has Medicare needs rehabilitation for cases of substance abuse, their treatment will be either covered entirely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant degree. The only catch is, the individual must receive treatment from an alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to start treatment, they may also have to visit their doctor who must declare that rehabilitation services are medically needed, and the physician will typically approve which kind of treatment the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of treatment providers. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center in the event that the individual has to be in a hospital for their problem, and also the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to every other hospital stay. Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation within a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance coverage or they will have to self pay.
