Medicaid is a type of medical health insurance available for many people who are in specific income brackets which qualifies them to acquire this government provided insurance coverage. Whether or not a person is qualified for Medicaid doesn't only depend upon income however, and individuals shouldn't presume they don't qualify just because they make a fair income. As an example, people who have many dependents may qualify for Medicaid even if they earn what would be considered a sensible income. Medicaid can also cover the costs of rehabilitation, if a person has been abusing drugs or alcohol and requires rehab. There are several drug treatment programs which accept Medicaid, but different states have distinct rules for what forms of rehabilitation are covered. Some states only include outpatient rehab services as an example while other states cover more extensive treatment say for example a residential stay in long-term alcohol and drug rehab program. If anyone is involved in substance abuse and wants help, they can use their Medicaid health coverage to obtain this treatment. If they do not have Medicaid plus don't have enough cash or any other type of medical insurance to pay for rehab, they can find out if they qualify for Medicaid and then sign up for an alcohol and drug rehab center which is approved within their state.
