A group home for anyone who has tbeen involved with alcohol and drug abuse is a place which offers continual support and help for people in recovery. A group home is ordinarily for troubled youth, but there's also group homes for folks with a mental health disorder or who are encountering behavioral problems for example. Rather than sending individuals who are being affected by drug abusedrug use or recovering from drug abuse to an orphanage, asylum or another similar place, a group home can help offer an appropriate environment to help individuals sustain stability inside their lives and also have counsel and support within reach around the clock. Residents in the group home could be getting involved in treatment services while in residence, or could be taking measures to get their life set up outside of the group home in order to at one point live independently outside of the group home. For instance, a troubled youth that has been in recovery or has recovered from substance abuse can work on getting their GED or acquire employment.
